Join hundreds of other Christians from across the town to pray and worship together at the Bandstand from 10.30am. The event will be led by Ben Sleep, Curate at St John’s Meads and Emma McPhail, Assistant Minister at Victoria Baptist Church, with a worship group drawn from local churches. One focus for the occasion will be prayer for the generations.
Last year around 1700 people from many churches across the town gathered at the Bandstand as part of Thy Kingdom Come. This is now a global, interdenominational event. Archbishop Justin Welby says, ‘I cannot remember in my life anything that I’ve been involved in where I have sensed so clearly the work of the Spirit.’
